Two years ago I was in the same situation you are in, I had just started playing online poker and I was not doing well at all. I had started with $200 in my PokerStars account and I had gotten myself down to $46.34. I started out playing $10 buyin cash games and lost about $30 in those. I finally settled on $4.40 MTTs and through these got down to just under $100. The only reason I stayed afloat was because of one 3rd place finish. After that I decided to try some $6.50 buyin 6-max turbos and those are what got me down to under $50.

At this point I was almost ready to quit online poker for good. I had tried every type of tournament and I was losing in all of them. I decide to stop playing before I lost the rest of my money and I started studying everything I could. I ready every ebook, signed up for every video training course and bought every book that the book store had about any kind of poker.

When I finally started playing again I was playing $3.40 10-man Sit ‘n Go Tournaments and for once I was winning. The lessons that allowed me to start winning were all very basic but also very powerful.
